Sarah Ferguson surgery: Duchess of York reveals facelift and Botox – before and after

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was married to the Queen’s son Prince Andrew, 59, and is mother to their two children. Nicknamed ‘Fergie,’ the Duchess is well known for her bold dress sense and striking looks. However, Sarah has revealed her appearance is not all down to mother nature. She has now revealed she has undergone a number of procedures to help keep herself looking fresh-faced.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Fergie revealed she has had botox, a thread lift, organic fillers, a laser facelift and vitamin injections in her face.

The Duchess told the publication that she had laser treatment on her face ahead of her daughter Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank.

The treatment was done by Polish-born Dr Gabriela Mercik who claims to offer the world’s first 6-Dimension Ultimate Laser Treatment facelift.

The doctor and Sarah have been friends since meeting in 1992 in Poland.

Her treatment is said to be able to be completed during a lunch-hour and Sarah called herself the “worst patient” due to her impatience.

The facelift is supposed to promote the skin’s natural production of collagen – the protein responsible for skin elasticity.

Sarah is keen to make sure she stays looking natural, however. “I really don’t like the frozen look,” the Duchess said. “I’m so animated and I like to be myself.

“I don’t like the thought of needles and am very glad if I look well and happy.”

Sarah is not so keen on botox, however, although she has also tried this in a bid to fight ageing.

She told the Mail she opted for botox when “nothing else was available.”

Another treatment the Duchess has benefited from is mesotherapy — an injection of vitamins, minerals and amino acids under the face’s mesodermal layer to rejuvenate skin.

She later opted for organic fillers. These are injected into the face and fill out facial lines but are non-invasive.

The plethora of procedures does not stop there, however. Sarah has also had a ‘puppet lift,’ according to MailOnline.

This sees medical threads inserted into the skin to create a supportive mesh that pulls the face upwards.

It doesn’t involve any knives and the threads dissolve over six to eight months.

The results can last up to two, years, however. “It’s like garden trellising for sweat peas,” Sarah told MailOnline of the treatment. “You insert the threads under the skin with a fine needle and they hold everything up.”

She added: “My skin responded well. I think if you look at photos of me after I had it done, I look much better.”
