Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Bruno Fernandes development, De Ligt offer, £72m bid ready | Football | Sport

Milinkovic-Savic boost

Man Utd have received a transfer boost with Lazio eager to sell Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as soon as possible.

On Thursday morning, Sky Sports Italia claimed that the Red Devils were readying a monster £72million bid to sign the Serbia international.

That’s despite Lazio insisting their star performer would not be allowed to depart for anything less than £90m.

However, Calcio Mercato say that Lazio want to sell as quickly as possible.

Maguire deal on

Man Utd have been handed a boost in their pursuit if Leicester centre-back Harry Maguire.

United have already had a £70m bid rejected by Leicester for England international Maguire.

However, according to The Sun, Leicester chiefs privately accept Maguire will leave the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes are confident of making United cough up £85m, despite Maguire being desperate to join the Red Devils.

Bruno Fernandes development

Man Utd have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Bruno Fernandes, with Sporting Lisbon closing in on a replacement for the midfielder.

SportItalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla says the Portuguese club are eyeing Palmero playmaker Aleksandar Trajkovski.

He tweeted: “Trajkovski to Sporting Lisbon to replace Bruno Fernandes. Four-year contract, could be confirmed tomorrow.”

Trajkovski scored eight goals and chipped in with 11 assists in Serie B last season and is valued at just £1.8m.

Matthijs de Ligt offer

Man Utd have been offered the chance to sign Matthijs de Ligt by Mino Raiola, football consultant Ian McGarry claims.

“Manchester United have certainly shown a great interest in [De Ligt],” he told the Transfer Window Podcast.

“But are understandably cynical about the fact Mino Raiola is his agent and Raiola has caused them problems already with Paul Pogba throughout his time at Old Trafford.

“I was told last weekend that Raiola had again come back to Ed Woodward to offer De Ligt and that the problems in terms of De Ligt actually securing a move out of Ajax is not the fee that Ajax were asking, which is similar to the €75m [£67m] they secured from Frenkie de Jong at Barcelona, but of course Mino’s commission – which is coming in at around €10.5m [£9m] net.

“Usually a commission on any transfer deal for an agent is between six and 7.5 per cent.

“10 per cent usually is the maximum a club will pay, but with Raiola he always asks for more as he did with Pogba.

“I think that’s been the problem, because so far Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United have shown willingness to at least pay the fee to Ajax, but not the commission to Raiola.”

£72m bid ready

Man Utd are ready to offer £72m to land Lazio ace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Sky Italy claim the Red Devils are ready to go all out for the midfielder, who could replace Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.

However, Lazio are demanding around £90m for the 24-year-old.

Milinkovic-Savic is happy to join United, however, he won’t force a move and is prepared to stay at Lazio.
